StaffBreeze.
The backend for a two-sided mobile marketplace connecting customers with personal assistants.
A service product with two sides.
StaffBreeze is a mobile marketplace where customers hire personal assistants for everyday tasks. The backend had to support the customer experience, the assistant experience and the team operating the marketplace.
I built the Laravel services, payment flow, notification layer and Nova administration dashboard.
Coordinate service, payment and operations.
A two-sided product has more than one user journey. Customers need a clear way to engage help, assistants need the information required to deliver it, and administrators need oversight of the activity between them.
Payments and notifications also need to fit naturally into the service lifecycle.
The operational core behind the mobile product.
The backend was designed as the shared source of truth for both sides of the marketplace.
- Laravel backend for customer and assistant workflows
- Stripe payment integration
- Push notifications for important activity
- Laravel Nova dashboard for administration
- APIs supporting the iOS and Android applications
A production marketplace, not a prototype.
The product shipped to both major app stores as Staff Breeze, Life Management. It is a useful example of backend work that connects user experience, payments and internal operations in one platform.
